Our Goals

Every parish in the Davenport Diocese is participating in the Upon This Rock Capital Campaign. By fulfilling our joint obligation, we will provide:

• Health care and retirement costs for priests:

The Priests’ Aid Society’s fund is healthy, but it won’t be able to keep up with the wave of priest retirements that is coming over the next 10 years. The Priests’ Aid Society also covers health care costs for diocesan priests, and those costs are growing, too.

• Seminarian education and formation:

The fund for this purpose is diminishing, and this is a need that we hope will grow! That would mean we have more seminarians who can be a foundation for the future of our diocese.
