As colder months approach, significant strides are being made toward enclosing the new structure to ensure protection from winter weather. Recent progress on the exterior framing and sheathing is visible to those driving by the site, with the roofing membrane and air barrier installation following closely behind.
Exterior and Interior Advancements Exterior framing and sheathing work is nearly complete, and the roofing membrane installation is on schedule. Inside, most of the underground work has been completed, and approximately 70% of the interior concrete slabs are poured, setting a strong foundation for ongoing development. Interior masonry and metal framing have also begun, providing structure to the walls and spaces within the building. Preparations are underway to start the rough-in process for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, bringing essential infrastructure into place.
Site Utilities and Infrastructure All on-site utilities, including sanitary sewer, stormwater management, and electrical systems, have been installed. The city’s segment of the water main and Mid-American Energy’s natural gas line are currently out for bids, with work scheduled to begin soon. Additionally, the new turn lane on Hopewell is nearly complete, helping to alleviate traffic congestion near the construction area.
